Pastor Marg served churches in Northern Virginia and Williamsburg before coming to Chester in 2003. She is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and of Virginia Union University School of Theology with a Doctor of Ministry. Marg is married with two grown children and two grandchildren. When not at church you might find her working in the yard, exercising at the gym, or walking along the beach in Nags Head, NC.

Brandon Robbins grew up in Yorktown, Virginia, where he graduated from York High School in 2001. After that, he went to James Madison Univeristy, graduating with a BA in Religion. From there, he went to Duke University’s Divinity School where he received his Master of Divinity degree.
Brandon works with our High School youth, leads and organizes our 6pm CrossRoads service on Sundays, and is the staff contact with several of our ministry team leaders.
In his spare time, Brandon enjoys reading, singing, watching and playing baseball, and spending time with his fiancée (and soon-to-be wife) Lee Ann.

Rita has served as Director of Youth, Director of Christian Education, Christian School teacher and in several leadership roles in the church for several years. As the Director of Spiritual Formation here at Chester she supports the spiritual growth process for children, youth and adults. Rita is a graduate from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education. She is married and has a wonderful daughter in college. Rita loves to read as often and as much as she can.

Joshua N. Wortham, our Music Director/Organist, has a degree in Church Music from Campbellsville University in Kentucky. He is the founding director of the Chester Community Chorus and has performed concerts throughout the southeastern United States in addition to Italy and Brazil. Joshua is often accompanied in the office by his dog, Gilligan, the unofficial church mascot!
Middle School Youth Director: Susan Nixon; email senixon09@aol.com
Susan has served as the middle school youth director at CUMC for 5 years. Susan supports the youth by providing a place where youth can serve and share God's word. Susan is married with two teenagers. In the event that she has spare time she enjoys taking photographs, scrap booking and watching her teens play sports.

Terry is a Virginia Tech graduate with a BS in biology. She taught physical science, chemistry and biology in Charlottesville, VA and Kossuth, MS before moving to Chester. She is married with two grown children and one teenager. Terry and her family have been active members of CUMC for 19 years. In addition to singing in the Chancel Choir, Dawn of Grace ladies ensemble and Chester Community Chorus, Terry serves as the sound technician for our 8:45 AM and 6:00 PM worship services.

Richard is retried form the electrical industry with many years in construction as well as management and engineering. Along with his wife Ann they are members of Beulah UMC and are active with the mission committee as well as being Certified Lay Speakers active in the Richmond District. They have three grown sons and two wonderful grandchildren. After retirement his time with church related things and his hobby of Amateur Radio was not enough to keep him busy and that is what brought him to apply for the position here. Having spent his entire life doing things with his hands he thought he could be of service to CUMC while keeping out of his wife's hair at the same time. He is a blessing to CUMC.
