United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women (UMW) is to “be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.”
Jean Craig Fellowship – meets at 7:00 p.m. the first Monday of every month during the school calendar year. Call Susan Petrey at 275-9258 for details.
Ada Mae Bookman Fellowship – meets at 10:00 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month during the school calendar year. Bookman gathers in the Fellowship Hall. Call Martha Miles at 748-5476 for details.
United Methodist Men
UNITED METHODIST MEN NEWS: TThe Chester men are launching a revised men’s ministry focused on our church and community families. Rather than a monthly men’s meeting (focused inside), we will sponsor a church-wide dinner meeting with special programming the first Wednesday of each month (focused outside).
Prepare to feast on our signature dinner: Spaghetti with or without meatballs, garden salad, fresh hot bread, tea, lemonade, and dessert. The meal is free! There are buckets for a free-will contribution. Some folks cannot help themselves and will want to bring some food. If you are so inclined, a dessert is a great contribution. In addition to the special programs, a children’s program is held at the same time allowing parents to enjoy the featured program. Programs are announced in the bulletin.
